Call of the wild warriors

Call of the wild warriors
16 April 2006
Sunshine Coast Daily, page 26

IT'S official… Wildlife Warriors has gone global. The launch was this week and it was all happening in a little town called Beerwah (Australia Zoo actually).

Wildlife Warriors supports various conservation projects worldwide, including the Sumatran Tigers in Asia but the organisation's biggest responsibility is closer to home in the Australian Wildlife Hospital – its doors opened in March 2004 and in the last 12 months it's treated more than 3000 native animals. The dedicated team of Hospital staff joined the menagerie at a brekky, which included bacon and eggs on hot cross buns!

A custom-built hospital is in the pipeline and, funds pending, will be complete within 12 months. For more info www.wildlifewarriors.org.au .
